Damp on a wall is water getting in somewhere you can't see — rising from the ground, pushing through an outside wall, or coming in past a failed roof or gutter. We find where it is getting in and treat that, so the paint you put back on the wall stays put.
We do the work ourselves. We are applicators, not suppliers — we do not sell materials.

They look the same from inside the house and need completely different fixes, which is why we assess before we quote.
Moisture drawn up into the base of a wall, usually where the damp-proof course has failed or been bridged. Look for a tide mark low on the wall and plaster that crumbles.
Water coming through an outside wall — cracked plaster, failed paint or a gap around a window frame. Usually worst after heavy rain. Cracks repaired and the wall properly sealed.
Water pushing in from outside is a different problem from water sitting on top. Tanking is specified against the water table and the structure, negative or positive side depending on what the building allows.
A damp patch near the ceiling is usually the roof, a gutter or a flashing — not damp at all. We check the roof first, because treating the wall will not stop it.
A conversation about the property, what is bothering you about it, your budget and when you would like it done.
